MLB free agent attended Super Bowl LVIII, left game early

Based on his first social media action, Pham was still at the stadium late in the second quarter when the San Francisco 49ers held a 10-0 lead. The second Instagram post showed him relaxing at home with the game on his television and the Kansas City Chiefs having cut the deficit to 10-6 late in the third quarter.

Depending on how far Pham lives from the complex, one might think that he departed during the halftime show.

For many who tune into the Super Bowl, the halftime performance is an even bigger spectacle than the contest.

Eight-time Grammy Award winner Usher was this year's halftime performer, a show that featured special appearances by Alicia Keyes, H.E.R, Lil Jon, Ludacris and will.i.am. Perhaps Pham is not a fan.

The 35-year-old journeyman was born and raised in Las Vegas before being selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 16th round of the 2006 MLB June Amateur Draft. Pham played four-plus seasons with St. Louis from 2014-18 and has since suited up for the Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets and Arizona Diamondbacks.
