MLB best bets: Wiesguy's 2 Picks and a Prop for 4/11

Yesterday was Day 1. We hit on our underdog play, which is always a good way to start in terms of delivering value, but overall it was a losing day. I can admit that. Admittedly we were off on leaning on Miami with their ace on the hill and that Mike Trout guy is a bum (haha).

You gotta love MLB betting, right? Keep thinking big picture please. Just like the players it is OK to take some time to find your rhythm.

The best part is that tonight we have a full slate to choose from, so we can put ourselves back to the test.

In Review: Monday April 10

Miami -135 (loss)
Sandy Alcantara was tagged for 9 runs yesterday. That is more than he usually gives up in a month.

Colorado +120 (win)
The Rox did not hit a homer, but tagged the Cardinals for 13 hits in a solid win.

Mike Trout Over 1.5 Total Bases (-125) (loss)
I thought he would light up Patrick Corbin, but he was shut out.

MLB Picks for Tuesday April 11

Milwaukee Brewers  -125 (at Arizona Diamondbacks)
Yesterday we went with high level aces to come through and fell short with Sandy Alcantara. The strategy is still sound, but in this case we get a better overall team in the Milwaukee Brewers, who are off to a good start. The Diamondbacks have been very competitive and this game could have more offense than the starting pitchers suggest, but when Burnes is on he is very tough to beat.

San Diego Padres +120 (at New York Mets)
The Padres were blanked last night, losing 5-0 in New York. They ran into Max Scherzer, and lefty David Peterson is going to be a breath of fresh air for a lineup loaded with strong righty bats. San Diego lefty David Weathers is working his way back for the Padres and he can keep things level for the visitors in this game between contenders.

MLB Prop

Paul Goldschmidt Over 1.5 Total Bases (-150)

I don't like to go with prices this low for props but Goldschmidt is hard to ignore. Throughout his career he has mashed lefties and hit very well at Coors Field. Tonight he combines both. I know we lost with Trout last night but I feel even better about Goldie tonight. Odds are we get a high scoring tonight and being with the road team he won't get cheated any at bats.
