Luis Campusano Lands in The IL, Bringing Back Brandon Dixon
USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday, the Padres announced they'd be bringing up catcher Brett Sullivan and pitcher Reiss Knehr and optioned pitcher Domingo Tapia and outfielder Brandon Dixon

Well, the team announced that Dixon will make his way back to the major league club after catcher Luis Campusano entered the injured list.

Campusano will land in the 10-day IL with a left thumb sprain, and Austin Nola will take his place. Dixon will also start today in right field as they begin their three-game series against the Atlanta Braves.

It's only been a little over 24 hours since the Friars optioned Dixon, but that's how life in the major leagues works. This series against the Braves will probably be the last for Brandon, as Fernando Tatis Jr. will be set to join the team and play right field on Thursday.

The 31-year-old is back with the team for now, so might as well give it your all and contribute.
