The Cleveland Guardians and Toronto Blue Jays series has not been a showcase of baseball's best offenses. The Blue Jays took the first game of the series 1-3 and then the teams split the next two games.

It was the way that the games were split that will make this a series for the history books.

The Guardians bounced back in game two and won by 1-0. The new face in the clubhouse, Ramon Laureano, hit an RBI double in the second inning, scoring the game's only run.

Ironically, He's the first player to have the only RBI in a 1-0 while debuting for a team since he did it himself in his MLB debut with the A's in 2018.

That takes us to game three where the Blue Jays pulled off a 1-0 victory. The only run they scored in the game was a home run from George Springer in the first inning.

Cleveland has only played in consecutive 1-0 games in which they won and lost a game four times in their history. The other occurrences were May 21-22, 1908 against the Philadelphia A's, April 17-18, 1942 against Chicago, July 24-25, 2007 against the Boston Red Sox, and now Tuesday and Wednesday night.

I wouldn't say this is a piece of history to be overly proud of. The Guardians need to find a spark to their offense soon or completely lose out hope of winning the AL Central.
