Right-hander Ryan Tepera cleared waivers and is now a free agent, the Los Angeles Angels confirmed Saturday.
The Angels designated the 35-year-old reliever for assignment last Sunday, one day after he blew the save in an 8-6 loss at Cleveland.
Tepera, who is in the second season of a two-year, $14 million contract, was 2-2 with a 7.27 ERA in 10 appearances this season for Los Angeles.
He is 19-20 with a 3.59 ERA and 18 saves in 371 games (one start) with the Toronto Blue Jays (2015-19), Chicago Cubs (2020-21), Chicago White Sox (2021) and Angels.
