The Washington Nationals are set to have a very different look — sort of. Washington’s star outfielder, Bryce Harper, has shaved his beard.
Big news: Bryce Harper has shaved his beard.

WHY DID YOU SHAVE @Bharper3407 WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
— Soni (@_SoniM) June 18, 2018
Well, we don’t know why he did it. Ordinarily, we’d just say he’s a slumping player looking to do something different.
That just didn’t seem like the popular opinion on Twitter.
No, Twitter noted that Harper, a pending free agent, might just be showing a clean shaven face to the New York Yankees, who are notoriously anti-facial hair and who happen to be Washington’s opponent on Monday.
And the Yankee fans go crazy!!!

So Bryce Harper shaved his beard as the Nationals match up with the Yankees today – coincidence??

Didn’t he also cut his hair? The man is foreshadowing his final destination for his #MLB career. From the #Nationals in DC to the #Yankees in NY. Kind of like deGrom cutting his hair, whether Yanks get him by trade or by FA, I see him rocking pinstripes before retiring. Hopefully

Not taking credit for anything but at Nats v Yankees last week I yelled to Harper, “you’re gonna have to shave, Bryce.” pic.twitter.com/2OgHg5rRiu
