Braves part ways with Jordan Luplow
Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY Sports

On Thursday night, the Braves announced they have released Jordan Luplow to allow him to pursue other opportunities.

Luplow was having a fantastic Spring for the Braves, recording eight hits, including three homers in just 29 at-bats, good for a .984 OPS. He did everything he possibly could to grab the attention of Alex Anthopoulos, but they opted to go in a different direction when they inked Adam Duvall to a one-year, $3 million contract.

Duvall is now the Braves fourth outfielder, as he’ll be platooning with Jarred Kelenic in left field. That made Luplow expendable, but he showed enough in Spring Training that he shouldn’t have much of a problem catching on with another team quickly.
