Watch: Scottie Scheffler’s priceless reaction to Bryson DeChambeau’s INCREDIBLE hole-out at 18th hole during The Masters
Adam Cairns-USA TODAY Network

After he was done with the day and got ready to speak to the media, Scottie Scheffler was left stunned by the actions of Bryson DeChambeau. The LIV Golfer’s incredible hole-out at the 18th hole during The Masters ignited a priceless reaction from the World No. 1 golfer.

Scheffler and DeChambeau had both been going at each other from the early get-go and at some point were sitting on top of the leaderboard. Things though started going downward for Bryson DeChambeau as he went on shot a score of 75 and slip down the rankings.

This score could have been higher if not for that amazing hole-out. The Crushers GC Captain would hit a shot from an improbable angle and with some luck on his side, the ball would bounce just near the hole before rolling in which gave him a birdie on this hole.

This saw the 2020 U.S. Open star finish the round with a score of 3-over 75. It turned out to the highest score he shot in the three rounds which saw him slip down to fifth, four shots behind Scottie Scheffler.

While DeChambeau was still on the field, Scheffler had wrapped up his day and was getting ready for his post-round interview. He would catch the hole-out of his American compatriot live on TV and was taken back by what he just witnessed.

Scottie Scheffler takes one shot lead into final round of 2024 Masters

While the leaderboard does say that Scottie Scheffler ended the third round on top and will take a one shot lead into the final round, it wasn’t exactly a smooth sailing day for him. After an outward 1-under 35 on the front nine, the 27-year-old golfer started the back nine in the worst possible way.

Two critical errors on the 10th and 11th hole saw him card a double bogey and bogey respectively. This saw him fall down the rankings a little bit.

However, as seen in the cases with Scheffler, he once again bounced back strongly from a setback. He would fire an eagle on the par-5 13th hole to get tied for the lead again. Later he went on to birdie the 16th and 18th holes to finish the back nine with a score of 36 and end the round by being 1-under the par score of 72.

While he now has the eyes on the prize, a personal matter might lead to him leaving the tournament early. He and his wife Meredith are expecting their first child and if she goes into labor and calls him, he admitted that he will withdraw from the tournament. It will be interesting to see if this could influence the chances of Scheffler winning a second green jacket on Sunday.
