A reason why the former Masters champion likes the event is because he feels right at home in Southern California because as it reminds him of Australia. The eucalyptus trees, the grass, and even the weather feel similar to him.

The Kikuyu grass on Riviera’s fairways can be challenging for many players. It’s thickness often causes the shots of the players to go wide of their intended target.
