Virginia vs. Virginia Tech: The #6 Cavaliers defeated the Hokies 14-12 in the Commonwealth Clash. Virginia Tech scored the first two goals of the game, but Virginia responded with a 4-1 scoring run to take the lead, and they would lead the rest of the way. In the game Kate Galica and Madison Alaimo each broke single-season freshman records. Alaimo set the new freshman record with 22 assists on the year and Galica recorded 11 draw controls to bring her to 76 on the season, seven more than the previous record. In the game, UVA's Katia Carnevale scored five goals and Kiki Shaw had four goals. For the Hokies, Lauren Render led Virginia Tech with four goals.
