Virginia vs. Syracuse: The sixth-ranked Orange got their third top-five win of the season by defeating the #4 Cavaliers, 18-17. Virginia led 17014 with 9:18 to go in the game, but Syracuse scored four unanswered goals in the final 7:30 to pull out the victory. The game was tied 17-17 with a goal by Billy Dwan with 1:44 remaining. Then with 48 seconds left on the clock, Sam English tossed in the game-winning goal. Virginia's Matthew Nunes and Syracuse's Will Mark each had 15 saves in the game for their teams. Owen Hiltz recorded three goals and five assists for Syracuse. Christian Mule and Finn Thomson each scored three goals for the Orange. Virginia's Connor Shellenberger had a game-high nine points with four goals and five assists. McCabe Millon and Payton Cormier each had five points. Millon had three goals and two assists, and Payton Cormier had four goals and an assist.
