While we know the Nebraska football schedule for the 2024 season, we still don’t have the exact times or broadcast information yet.

The Big Ten is working on it and that should be announced soon. But there are some hints already about when some of the biggest games could be shown and on what channel.

Nebraska fooball will host Colorado in the second week of the season in what will be another highly-anticipated matchup. Last season, it was a Big Noon Kickoff. Yet, it won’t be this season because Michigan is hosting Texas that same weekend and Fox has already announced it will cover that game.

So, according to Sean Callahan and using logic, Nebraska fooball, and Colorado will likely play in a prime-time slot on NBC. That would be fun and would remind me of when Miami played in Lincoln on a Saturday night.

Memorial Stadium was rocking that night and will be rocking this September when the Buffs come to town, whether it’s played during the day or at night.

Huge recruiting weekend on tap for Nebraska football

If you missed it, five-star offensive tackle David Sanders, the No. 1 player at his position in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings, will take an official visit to Nebraska football this weekend.

It’s massive news for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Call it the Dylan Raiola effect. Sanders is the No. 2 prospect in the entire 2025 class. He’s 6-foot-6, 270 pounds. Clemson has the crystal ball lead right now, but maybe the Huskers can become a serious contender this weekend.

However, Sanders isn’t the only blue-chip tackle on campus this weekend. Broderick Shull, a 6-foot-5, 275-pound tackle from Bixby, Texas, ranked 196th overall in the 2025 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings will also visit Lincoln. Auburn is the current leader.

EDGE Nicholas Clayon will also visit the Nebraska Cornhuskers this weekend. He’s a 6-foot-5, 205-pound recruit out of Florida and is ranked as a three-star by 247 Sports but is unranked in the composite rankings.

This is a key position of need and the Huskers don’t have a ton of EDGE targets, so this is one to watch closely. Caleb Benning, a 2024 Nebraska football signee will also take an official visit. He’ll be enrolling in the fall.

Nebraska Cornhuskers advance in the Big Ten tournament

The Nebraska softball team entered the week on the NCAA tournament bubble but the Cornhuskers helped themselves with an 11-2 win over Minnesota in the Big Ten quarterfinals on Thursday.

Billie Andrews had a big day for Nebraska as she blasted two home runs on a 2-for-3 day that included three runs and four RBI. Emmerson Cope also belted a two-run homer and was credited with three RBI. Sarah Harness got her ninth win of the season after allowing just two runs on three hits. Nebraska softball ended the game after five innings due to the run rule.

Next up is the Big Ten semifinal against Indiana at 4 PM CST. The game will be shown on the Big Ten Network. Nebraska baseball also has a critical three-game series at home against Indiana. The Cornhuskers are one game behind Big Ten leader Illinois going into the weekend. The first pitch will go out at 6 PM CST.
