Haley Cavinder announces return to Miami, joining sister Hanna for last year of eligibility

The Cavinder twins are headed back to Miami.

Haley Cavinder announced Thursday via X (formerly known as Twitter) and on Instagram that she will be rejoining the Hurricanes for her final year of eligibility. 

This comes just one day after he sister, Hanna Cavinder, announced her return to Miami to play out her fifth year.

'Given the news yesterday that my sister was returning to play ball at Miami and after careful consideration and thought, I've decided to return to the University of Miami and play with Hanna for our final and 5th year,' Haley Cavinder wrote on Instagram.

There is nothing more important than family and the bond I share with my Twin sister. Being presented with the opportunity to play together one more time is something I cannot pass up. I am excited for this upcoming season and can't wait to play at the U." 

Haley Cavinder was originally set to plat her last year of college basketball at TCU, while Hanna Cavinder had previously indicated her intention to step away from the sport to pursue outside business opportunities. 

The Cavinder twins are well-known for their social media presence and the way they have so effectively capitalized on the NIL era of college sports. Among their NIL deals include one with the WWE.

Their annual value as of July 1, 2022, was reported to be at $2 million, according to Forbes. The twins have also amassed a huge social media following of over 5 million people between Instagram, TikTok and various other platforms.

It will be interesting to watch how things shake out for them in their last year on the basketball court at the college level.
