Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco 49ers are hosting several draft prospects today and tomorrow as the deadline for pre-draft visits draws near. Among the players visiting the team's facilities are former Utah safety Sione Vaki and former BYU tackle Kingsley Suamataia.

According to Justin Melo of The Draft Network, the 49ers intend to conduct a private workout with Vaki.

The former Utes safety participated in 12 games as a junior last season, tallying 51 tackles, including 8.5 for a loss, two sacks, an interception, and two passes defensed, per Sports Reference. He allowed 20 receptions for 218 yards and a touchdown on 29 targets while with the Utes last season.

Vaki (5-11, 210) displayed his versatility last season by also playing running back. He rushed for 317 yards and two touchdowns on 42 carries and caught 11 receptions for 203 yards and three receiving touchdowns.

Last season, Suamataia (6-5, 326) achieved a career-high 86.1 pass-blocking grade, allowing 13 pressures and two sacks in 381 pass-blocking snaps. However, his run-blocking grade dropped from 74.2 in 2022 to 52.9 in 2023.

At the NFL Scouting Combine, Suamataia recorded a 40-yard dash time of 5.04 seconds, a vertical jump of 28 inches, a broad jump of 9 feet, 2 inches, and completed 31 reps on the bench press.
