Tahitian waterman Raimana Van Bastolaer is a surfing legend.

The Teahupo'o chargers is also revered as one of the most skilled and unbelievably balanced surf coaches as the resident surf instructor at Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch.

Raimana is known for riding waves rail to rail with novice surfers. When they fall, no biggie. He literally picks them back up, and without missing a beat, keeps surfing.

Recently, big wave surfer Garrett McNamara sat down with the godfather of modern skateboarding Tony Hawk, and Aussie pro skateboarder Jason Ellis on their podcast, Hawk vs Wolf.

Hawk vs Wolf posted the clip above and captioned it:

"The Greatest Surf Instructor To Ever Live Garrett and Nicole MacNamara on the newest episode of Hawk Vs Wolf Out Now!"

In the clip, the group discusses Raimana's unrivaled skills as a surf instructor.

Hawk shares a memory, saying:

"My first time ever at Kelly's was, like, at early days right. Raimana is my guy. And the wave starts coming. And he's like, 'Okay, okay.'

"And I'm like 'Okay.' He's like, 'Okay Tony, I love you.'

"That's his thing. But it freaked me out. Does he think I'm gonna die? What does that mean?

"He's trying to calm your nerves. It worked, I made the wave. But, it was a little like, okay, 'I love you too. I gotta go.'"

In the comments, Hawk gave Raimana a shoutout and wrote:

"We love you @raimanaworld!"

Raimana replied: "love you my brother T"

That's a whole lotta love.
