Catch these MNF props while you can

We'll wrap Week 4 with an NFC West battle between the Rams and 49ers. In a wide open division, this is a critical early-season game for these two clubs.

Los Angeles Rams @ San Francisco 49ers

Rams: 2-1, 1-2 ATS, 1-2 overs

49ers: 1-2, 1-2 ATS, 0-3 overs

The 49ers have won six straight regular-season contests against the Rams, though Los Angeles beat San Fran when it counted, taking home a 20-17 win in the NFC Championship Game last season. The Rams' biggest weakness up to this point has been their pass-blocking, while the Niners have struggled to pass the ball. Both teams' strengths have been on the defensive side of the football up to this point.

We're betting the under

The best price for under 42.5 points is -104 on FanDuel, and it's a bet we feel comfortable making here on "Monday Night Football." Primetime unders are 8-4 this season, and throughout the league, unders are hitting at a 60% rate this season. It's a sharp line tonight, given that in the past two seasons the average total between these two teams is 42.4. Books know what they're doing here. Still, trends support betting against points, and as highlighted above, the teams' biggest weaknesses are coming on the offensive end, while both teams are buoyed by elite defensive units. We're betting on the D shining here in San Francisco.

Best player props built around the star WRs

We can root for a low-scoring game and still expect yards, and the best looks in that department start and end with the top receivers on each of these teams: Cooper Kupp and Deebo Samuel. Both players tend to come up big in these games. Samuel went for 77+ receiving yards in all three games against the Rams last season and has finished with 66+ in his last five against Los Angeles. Deebo has 50+ receiving yards in 15 of his last 22 games overall.

Kupp went over 118 receiving yards in all three meetings against the Niners last season and has finished with 90+ yards in 21 of his past 24 games.

We'll be betting the following on FD:

  • Samuel 50+ receiving yards
  • Kupp 90+ receiving yards

That parlay comes in at a cool +188, a solid value to root on tonight.

In the news ...

NFL Week 4 betting roundup — There's plenty to glean from Sunday's action in the NFL, highlighted by the Eagles remaining unbeaten. The Falcons beat the Browns, moving to an impressive 4-0 ATS, underdogs in all four games up to this point. The Raiders finally got off the schneid, taking down the Broncos, leaving Houston as the lone winless team in the league.

Kenny Pickett made first NFL appearance in Steelers' loss to the Jets — Pittsburgh rookie QB Kenny Pickett, selected in the first round of this past year's draft, finally saw the field on Sunday, replacing Mitch Trubisky. While Pickett wasn't able to rally the Steelers to a win, he did rush in two scores. It will be worth monitoring if Pickett remains the starter for the 1-3 Steelers, as Offensive Rookie of the Year is a wide open race. Pickett is +1200 to win Rookie of the Year on DraftKings, with Saints receiver Chris Olave the favorite at +500.

All eyes on the NL East as MLB postseason nears — The Atlanta Braves authored a massive sweep over the New York Mets this weekend to take control of the NL East with just a few games remaining. There are a few races to monitor as the MLB regular season winds down. The Phillies need to win just one more game or see the Brewers lose, and the final wild-card spot is theirs. The Braves are now two games up over the Mets, in a good spot to win the division and secure a spot in the NLDS. The Braves are now +500 to win the World Series, while the Mets fell to +850.
