Red Bull has experienced significant turmoil in recent weeks due to the controversy surrounding its team principal, Christian Horner. Soon after he was cleared, Jos Verstappen, the father of Max Verstappen, received an anonymous email containing leaked evidence.

Christian Horner was badly criticized by Jos Verstappen who claimed that due to the team principals’ own baddoings, he was bringing down the entire Red Bull team. That was the same week when Verstappen Sr. met up with the Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff , which added more fuel to the speculations of Max Verstappen’s possible move.

While speaking to the media, the CEO of Red Bull, Oliver Mintzlaff, gave his opinion on the same and said,

Of course. He has a contract. Max is a great driver. Hopefully, we are going to win tonight.

The CEO of Red Bull avoided getting more into the details of the topic. While Verstappen himself and the team’s advisor Helmut Marko have previously addressed the speculations, the ongoing unrest within the team could lead to an unexpected future. Time will only tell, what holds for Max Verstappen and Red Bull together in the future.

Christian Horner will be staying with Red Bull

Red Bull’s ongoing unrest had led to their team advisor, Helmut Marko’s future into darkness. The advisor himself had doubts whether or not he would get to stay with the team, during these times of internal power struggle.

Because Marko could face suspension during the investigation into possible information leaks related to the Christian Horner case, there has been speculation about his future with the F1 team. The 80-year-old made hints about potentially leaving the team after the weekend and not being in the lineup for the upcoming Australian race.

It seems that he received assurances about his future from Red Bull CEO, Oliver Mintzlaff following their meeting. Max Verstappen has sworn loyalty to Helmut Marko, stating that his future at Red Bull depends on him staying there. Verstappen is certain that he needs Marko in order to continue.
