Christian Horner‘s investigation saga supposedly ended with Red Bull clearing the Briton of any allegations. However, an alleged massive data leak saw the resurrection of the entire talk over the 50-year-old. Hence, as the team prepares for the races in the 2024 season, another news about Max Verstappen‘s involvement in the entire matter has surfaced to the public.

Previously, Mohammed Ben Sulayem asked Max Verstappen to showcase public support towards his team principal over the entire investigation saga. Verstappen’s family has also been quite involved in the entire saga as Jos Verstappen had some words of choice for Horner. Verstappen Sr. mentioned that the 50-year-old was acting as a ‘victim’ and tore up the entire team at Red Bull.

However, following the FIA president’s statement for Verstappen to support Horner, the Dutchman shared his opinions with the president. As per the BBC, the reigning world champion allegedly asked Ben Sulayem to launch his investigation into the entire matter. Hence, the 26-year-old decided to not talk much about the entire matter and keep it completely private from the public eye and declined the FIA president’s request.

Mohammad Ben Sulayem will not take action on Christian Horner’s allegations for now

The entire case was continuously deepening with every passing week. As a result, FIA and F1 held a meeting following the alleged media leak of the team principal. However, Red Bull’s final investigation result was seemingly the end of the case. Regardless, any new additions could potentially restart the case in the coming days.

Additionally, despite Verstappen’s alleged request to Ben Sulayem to launch an independent investigation, the president would likely not do anything about it now. The case is at a potential halt for now and the season will continue as intended for the team. Mohammed Ben Sulayem ruled out an invesitgation on Horner for now.

Red Bull scored a one-two result at the season opener Bahrain GP and Max Verstappen scored a dominant victory. Regardless of the investigation behind Horner, the team is performing at their A-game. However, the team has avoided questions over the matter.
