IPA

The internet was shaken by the news of Lewis Hamilton ‘s 2025 move to Ferrari, which sparked rumors about George Russell’s potential new teammate. Sebastian Vettel is another name that has been added to the Mercedes list in recent weeks. Vettel recently did a test drive for the Porsche 963, hypercar for LeMans.

Lewis Hamilton believes it would be wonderful if the German does decide to make a comeback in F1 with Mercedes. Vettel shares a great bond with Toto Wolff.

The speculations were set in motion once again due to Vettel’s recent interview with Sky News. While talking about this wonderful possibility, Hamilton had the following to say.

I would love for Seb to come back. I think it would be an amazing option for the team: a German driver, a multi-world championship-winning driver, someone who's got amazing values, will continue to take this team forward. I'd love it if he came back. Lewis Hamilton said: Motorsport

Whether or not Sebastian Vettel will make a comeback to the F1 world is still unknown. But the ongoing speculations have given some hope to the admirers of Vettel and the sport. There is no doubt that the four-time world champion will be one of the best options for Mercedes.

Lewis Hamilton hopes to be ‘gone for good’ when he quits F1

Lewis Hamilton is the second-oldest driver on the current grid. He is aware that he cannot continue racing forever. While he was talking about the possible return of Sebastian Vettel to F1, he also took the time to talk about himself and mention that whenever he retires from the sport, he hopes it will be for good.

Lewis Hamilton has been competing in F1 since 2007.

I've never thought about taking a year or two off and then coming back [per Vettel]. When I'm gone, I'm hopefully gone for good. You are always going to miss it. It's the greatest sport in the world and it's the greatest experience in the world. It's the most amazing feeling to be working with a group of people towards winning something, achieving something. Hamilton understands that obviously, some things are not going to be the same ever again. It is evident that when someone like a seven-time world champion decides to part ways with sport, it will be a tough decision. The 39-year-old will be seen driving for Ferrari on a multi-year deal from next year onward.
