Alain Prost drove in F1 from 1980-1993 on an off-and-on basis. During his prime years in the sport, he was a huge menace to the other drivers and this is one of the reasons why he was able to amass a brilliant four world championships.

While he is regarded as one of the best to ever step foot into F1, he believes that he does not get enough recognition in comparison to some of the other drivers from his time. He was also able to amass an impressive 51 Grand Prix wins.

Alain Prost is the fifth on the most wins list in the sport behind Sebastian Vettel, but still, he feels he is underrated. While shedding light on the same recently, he said, as reported by Motorsport Magazine:

The 68-year-old has somewhat downplayed his illustrious career at the pinnacle of motor racing. Winning four world championships is no joke. But despite this, Prost feels that he does not get the kind of recognition that in his opinion, he deserves.
