Ex-F1 team owner claims Lewis Hamilton will be ‘reinvigorated’ at Ferrari after going through IMMENSE suffering with Mercedes
Lucas Peltier-USA TODAY Sports

The news of Lewis Hamilton ’s iconic move to Ferrari from next season onward came to light at the start of this year. After spending over a decade with Mercedes, the seven-time world champion decided to put to use the exit clause in his contract, and according to the Ex-F1 team owner, Eddie Jordan, it’s the right move.

Mercedes has been struggling for some years and this year isn’t any different. The team has been finding it hard to bring in consistent results. The W15 has proven to be a lackluster machinery ever since the first race in Bahrain. Seeing everything, Eddie Jordan believes that perhaps it was the right decision to move as in his opinion, Lewis Hamilton will be able to find his lost form with the Italian team.

While talking about the same, he had the following to say.

I think it's good for Formula One. To be very honest, I've thought about it now carefully. Seven times world champion. It reminds me of the Michael Schumacher days back in Ferrari. I think Ferrari are that iconic team that you spoke about, just like Monaco. You put them in the same voice, in the same sentences, just rings, nostalgia, magic, Maybe some people will think he's [Hamilton] passed his best. I think he’d be reinvigorated in Ferrari. Eddie Jordan said on Formula of Success podcast

Lewis Hamilton has signed a multi-year contract with the Maranello-based squad. His move had left the entire F1 world in shock but for Hamilton, the move was a childhood dream coming true. With Hamilton’s move to Ferrari, he might get first priority over Charles Leclerc. It would be interesting to see how the dynamics between the duo would work.

Lewis Hamilton might have a significant role to play in Adrian Newey’s future trajectory

As Red Bull Racing recently released a statement about Adrian Newey’s departure from the team in the early months of next year, spectators are now wondering, if perhaps the chief technical officer will seriously consider moving to Ferrari. Amidst the speculation, it is believed that Lewis Hamilton has a huge role to play in all of this.

In the past, while talking to the media about Newey, Hamilton said the following.

Adrian Newey doesn't generally build bad cars. My first McLaren championship car [in 2007] was an evolution of his car. He did a thesis on ground-effect cars. It's no surprise, he's one of the only ones who draws these cars by hand... It's no surprise what he has done and created. It’s not my decision, but I'm competing against him this year at the moment so I can't really talk about next year just yet. Lewis Hamilton via: mirror.co.uk

Lewis Hamilton never really got the chance to work with Newey as the latter was with Red Bull since 2006, but previously the Brit had shown interest in working with him. Several teams are currently interested in Newey and keeping in view how the world of F1 has been shaken by the recent news regarding the Brit, the upcoming months could make the picture a bit clearer as to where Newey ends up for next year.
