Nearly two years after the Bishop Sycamore football team and head coach Roy Johnson garnered national attention after losing 58-0 to IMG Academy on ESPN, HBO has announced a documentary on the now-infamous program called "BS High."

The documentary, scheduled to premiere on Max later this month, will dive into the story of how what turned out to be a fake program managed to make its way to a nationally televised high school football game against the top-ranked team in the country.
Despite reportedly not offering classes, having limited online presence, and a head coach with a warrant for his arrest according the Columbus Dispatch, Bishop Sycamore still took on one of the nation's college football factories in the GEICO ESPN High School Kickoff.
It quickly became apparent the two teams didn't belong on the same field, with even ESPN play-by-play announcer Anish Shroff speaking out after broadcasting the game.
Sorry. They had no business being in that game today. None. I feel bad for the kids. Player health and safety was at risk today. It was uncomfortable for anyone who watched. https://t.co/Eq39vdywLm

"Bishop Sycamore told us they had a number of Division I prospects on their roster, and to be frank, a lot of that, we could not verify," Shroff said on the actual broadcast. "They didn't show up in our database or other recruiting databases. From what we've seen so far, this is not a fair fight."
Johnson was fired after the contest as the national attention shined a light on all the sketchy activities going on at Bishop Sycamore, and many of their scheduled opponents ended up canceling their games for later in the season.
With Johnson and others who were at the heart of the scandal in the documentary, one of the most bizarre sport stories of recent years should become a bit more clear.
