'The Office' alum Kate Flannery says she and her boyfriend are 'like Jim and Pam'

Office romances can be looked down upon, and these days, the concept of falling for someone at the office is an abstract one as most of the world continues to work from home.

Kate Flannery took viewers down memory lane while visiting The Kelly Clarkson Show and revealed she met her longtime boyfriend, NBC photographer Chris Haston, on the set of The Office:

"I invited him to my comedy act, but I invited all the guys in the crew," Flannery, who played Meredith Palmer in 186 episodes from 2005-13, said. "And then he asked me out when he came to the show. So, like, literally, we are kind of Jim and Pam because we worked together. We didn't start dating until the end of Season 2."

The Office ran for nine seasons on NBC. The acclaimed series' most beloved couple was Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) and Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer). The fictional couple got married in Season 6:

In the series finale, Flannery and Haston danced blissfully in the background at Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) and Angela Kinsey's (Angela Martin) wedding.

Since The Office wrapped, Flannery has landed guest roles in several notable comedies such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl and Young Sheldon. The 56-year-old has also appeared as a voiceover actor in 38 episodes of K.O.! Let's Be Heroes.

Flannery competed in Season 28 of Dancing with the Stars in 2019.
