Los Angeles, CA—SPECTRE by SUPRA is Lil Wayne’s new footwear collection developed through an exclusive partnership with ONE Distribution, the parent company of the world renowned skateboard sneaker brand. The first silhouette to be released from the upcoming lifestyle assortment will be the revolutionary new high top Chimera. The Chimera will be available May 18, 2013, in three color stories for summer. “Everybody knows SUPRA for being that skate shoe,” Lil Wayne said about the upcoming release, “but right now we want people that don’t skate to wanna wear SPECTRE too. And this first shoe, the Chimera, hits that. It’s gonna be crazy.” “SPECTRE isn’t a signature shoe, or an endorsement deal,” said a SUPRA spokesperson, “this is Lil Wayne’s footwear brand and it’s a reflection of his music, his style, and his attitude. And, as Wayne put it, it’s gonna be crazy.” A “spectre” is something that is widely feared, sinister, haunting, and potentially dangerous—SPECTRE by SUPRA is a line of footwear that, much like Lil Wayne’s music, is so groundbreaking it’s dangerous to the status quo. The new collection, which will be released throughout 2013, will offer a full range of footwear, from low top to high top, all infused with Lil Wayne’s signature flare. {gallery}supraspectrechimera{/gallery} The Chimera is available May 18 at select retailers worldwide and suprafootwear.com.
