PLAYERS: Bon Jovi
This is crazy. How many walk on players make it into the circle of 'news' on the World Wide Web? We are talking about a player that has a slim chance of even making the squad let alone actually getting on the field. There are not that many Rudy-esque type stories out there and there are thousands and thousands of current and former college football players. Then again, when your Dad is legendary rocker Jon Bon Jovi I suppose anything you do ca be considered 'news' worthy! “I came up here when I was in eighth grade and I just fell in love with the place,” Jesse Bongiovi said. “The culture here, the people here, the opportunities here, they’re unreal. They’re second to none. Given the opportunity to walk on to the team and become a part of this family was an easy decision for me.” As a former crash test dummy--I mean scout team member--myself I appreciate the desire to keep playing even if it is all on the practice field so best of luck to you Jesse.
