Henry Cavill Saves Man Drowning on Set of New Movie

Superman actor Henry Cavill may be a real-life Man of Steel after he saved a man drowning on the set of his latest movie.

According to co-star Alex Pettyfer, Cavill lept into action on The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and ultimately prevented him from losing his life.

"He saved me from falling off a boat,” Pettyfer told ET. “I nearly drowned! So I can officially say I've been saved by Henry. And I'm very grateful to be on this film with you."

Set during WW2, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare chronicles the exploits of Britain's first special forces team. It’s directed by Guy Ritchie and features Cavill and Pettyfer alongside Alan Ritchson, Eiza Gonzáles, Cary Elwes, and Henry Golding. Yes, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare has a stacked cast.

Pettyfer continues, “It was an amazing honor, by the way, to be on this film with [Cavill] because it's a learning curve to see how a number one treats everyone in the cast and crew. I got an email two weeks before I started filming from this man saying, 'I'm excited to collaborate with you.' And what a collaboration it was.
