Britney Spears escaped to Maui after giving a revelatory virtual statement to Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny last week in a desperate plea to end her nearly 13-year conservatorship.
The 39-year-old pop idol presumably wanted time away to decompress, but as she shared via Instagram on Wednesday (June 30), that has not been the case:
Her caption reads as follows:
"So being here in Maui is pretty crazy now … the paps know where I am and it’s really not fun !!!! It’s pretty hard going anywhere cause these silly faces keep popping up to take my picture … but not only do they take my picture … they distort my body and mess with the image and it’s embarrassing !!!!! I know my body is not perfect but I definitely do NOT look like how they portray me. It’s rude and it’s mean so paps kindly F—K YOU AND F—K OFF !!!!"
Meanwhile, Spears continues to receive an outpouring of support. Her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and ex-husband, Kevin Federline, have joined the chorus this week:
‘I’ve supported my sister long before there was a hashtag, and I’ll support her long after’ — Jamie Lynn Spears broke her silence on Britney’s conservatorship, saying that she’s ‘so proud of her for using her voice’ pic.twitter.com/Va2XxGl6dP
