'And Just Like That...' official trailer finds Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda stronger than ever

Dec. 9 can't come soon enough.

That's when the first two episodes of And Just Like That..., HBO Max's Sex and the City  limited revival series, will premiere. The logline teases that each of the series' 10 episodes "follows Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s."

The official trailer released Tuesday (Nov. 30) shows Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda not just navigating their 50s, but thriving:

"The more I live, the more I find that if you have good friends in your corner, anything is possible," Carrie says while cohosting a podcast with Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez), which doubles as the trailer's narration. "The future is unwritten because we're all at different stages of life."
Notably, the nearly two-minute clip finds Carrie coming home to Mr. Big (Chris Noth) and kissing Stanford Blatch (Willie Garson) on the cheek. (Garson died in late September.)

"And just like that, after all the years and all the changes, you're still you," Carrie says to close, before opening her closet to proclaim, "Hello, lovers!" to her iconic shoe collection.

Sex and the City  originally ran on HBO for six seasons from 1998 to 2004, and two feature-length films followed in 2008 and 2010. Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones for the duration, is not a part of the revival.

After Dec. 9's premiere, a new episode will hit HBO Max every subsequent Thursday until Feb. 3, 2022.
