Amanda Seyfried posts throwback photo and sparks ‘Mean Girls’ reunion in the comments

There's a 30 percent chance that it's already raining, and a 100 percent chance that Mean Girls  is alive and well in Amanda Seyfried's comments.

The Oscar-nominated actress, who played Karen Smith, posted a 2003 photo featuring former co-stars Lindsay Lohan (Cady Heron), Lizzy Caplan (Janis Ian), Lacey Chabert (Gretchen Wieners), Jonathan Bennett (Aaron Samuels) and Daniel Franzese (Damian):

"Such a fun time! A great team!" Lohan commented with two heart emojis, to which Seyfried responded, "IT WAS THE BEST."

Chabert chimed in that she has "so many good memories" from the 2004 teen comedy, while Bennett pointed out the obvious with clapping hands emojis to emphasize: "We are babies."

Franzese took the opportunity to compliment Seyfried, saying she looks "just as young and beautiful still!" Seyfried replied to a different comment left by Franzese that she can't totally remember which restaurant this photo was taken inside, but "Sotto Sotto maybe?"

Mean Girls follows Cady as a new girl at public high school. She quickly befriends fellow outcasts Damian and Janis before infiltrating the Plastics—Gretchen, Karen and Regina George (Rachel McAdams)—and reckless hilarity ensues.

The screenplay by Tina Fey was inspired from Rosalind Wiseman's self-help book Queen Bees and Wannabes. Mark Waters served as director, and Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels was credited as a producer.

Not for nothing, Lohan shared a separate throwback last Thursday (July 8).
