Sam Curran conceded the most runs in a match by an England bowler in a fifty-over game during the series opening ODI against West Indies. The left-arm medium pacer gave away 98 runs and broke Steve Harmison’s record, who held the unwanted distinction by leaking 97 runs.

Curran, however, bounced back well in the second match of the series to return figures of 3/33. Liam Livingstone took three wickets as well while Jos Buttler scored a half-century to help England register a six-wicket victory on Wednesday, levelling the three-match series at 1-1. Set 203 for victory in Antigua, England got over the line in less than 33 overs to set up a decider in Barbados on Saturday.

Will Jacks raced to a 43-ball fifty, which was sandwiched between the dismissals of Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett who both fell to Gudakesh Motie. Striking form, Buttler finished unbeaten on 58 off 45, with 4 fours and 3 sixes, while Harry Brook hit the winning four and remained not out on 43 off 49.
