Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin Badgers are still looking for another wide receiver in the transfer portal to add to the football program.
With key pieces like Will Pauling and Bryson Green set to return in the starting slot and boundary roles, the Badgers are searching for another option that can provide some big play ability to this offense.
According to the Portal Report, Wisconsin is among the list of programs that have reached out to former Alabama wide receiver Shazz Preston in the transfer portal. He’s also heard from Tulane, Ole Miss, Boston College, Nebraska, Auburn, Penn State, Baylor, Liberty, and several others.
Alabama (D1) transfer WR Shazz Preston has heard from the following programs in the portal, he told @ThePortalReport:

Standing at 6-foot, 202-pounds, Preston will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next collegiate stop.
This Wisconsin football coaching staff still wants its main focus to be on developing its own players, but the transfer portal has thrown a wrench into that plan for programs across the country.
The next best thing, in some cases, is pursuing a player with multiple years left to play and developing them that way. In the case of Shazz Preston, he was a former four-star wideout in the 2022 recruiting class and was a consensus top 150 recruit.
In his two seasons with the Crimson Tide, the redshirt freshman played 36 total snaps and didn’t record any counting stats.
We’ll see if anything further materializes between Preston and the Wisconsin Badgers.
