NC State quarterback Russell Wilson burst onto the scene as a freshman in 2008 and became the first-ever freshman quarterback named First-team All-ACC. He also earned the league's Rookie of the Year award following the 2008 season in which he threw 17 touchdown passes and just 1 interception. For his career, Wilson amassed 9,628 total yards, was responsible for 93 touchdowns with just 26 interceptions and set the NCAA record with 379 consecutive passes without a pick.
