Watch: Oregon TE makes incredible one-handed TD grab closing out first half of Pac-12 title game

After a poor first half for No. 5 Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship Game, they salvaged things a bit thanks to an incredible touchdown grab in the final seconds before heading to the locker room for intermission.

Trailing No. 3 Washington 20-3 with nine seconds remaining in the second quarter, quarterback Bo Nix threw a high-arching pass to the corner of the endzone, which tight end Terrance Ferguson leaped in the air to grab one-handed.

There's no way of overstating how important Ferguson's TD catch was for Oregon. Coming on third-and-goal, the Ducks would've had to settle for a field goal had Ferguson not come down with the football. Plus, it doesn't take a football expert to know there's a big difference between a 10- and 14-point deficit.

The Huskies punched Oregon in the mouth early behind a solid defensive effort and an electric opening half from QB Michael Penix Jr. The Heisman Trophy hopeful went 16-of-22 for 192 yards through the air, setting up four scores, with wideouts Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillan combining to record 10 catches for 165 yards before halftime.

Despite a rough start for the Ducks, Ferguson's remarkable score late in the first half gives Oregon hope for a turnaround in the second half.
