What happens when the greatest kick returner in Rutgers history meets the greatest punter in Rutgers history? As we found out on Friday night, it was magical. Janarion Grant, who returned eight kickoffs/punts for touchdowns in his Rutgers career, has had similar success for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the CFL. He had also returned eight touchdowns on special teams including a kickoff in the Grey Cup last season. On Friday, night he did it again but this time it was against a former Scarlet Knight.

The all-time greatest Rutgers punter Adam Korsak, was playing in just his second game with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He had never seen a returned like Grant before Friday.

Korsak’s punt went 62 yards but was then returned by Grant for a 92-yard touchdown. The beauty in the return was that Grant broke eight tackles to do it. It was yet another spectacular return for the former Baltimore Raven. Korsak hopefully has a long pro career ahead of him. Although he never played with Grant at Rutgers, he has now seen his brilliance up close. Grant even sped by Korsak on the way to the end zone!

You can watch the amazing play right here.

Grant and Korsak weren’t the only former Rutgers players in the game. Former RU wide receiver Carlton Agudosi also plays for Winnipeg. He caught three passes for 19 yards and scored a touchdown.

Rutgers was well represented on Friday and check back for continued coverage of the CFL with these Scarlet Knights all season.
