Add another player to the list of USC Trojans putting their names in for the 2024 NFL draft.
Redshirt senior USC edge rusher Solomon Byrd announced via Twitter that he will enter his name for the upcoming draft.

— Solomon Byrd (@December1st99) December 29, 2023
Byrd was very productive in his two years at USC, transferring from Wyoming after the 2021 season.
From 2022 to 2023, Byrd recorded 77 total tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, ten sacks, two passes defended, four fumble recoveries, and five forced fumbles.
Byrd played in the final game of the 2023 season, resulting in a win over the Louisville Cardinals in the Holiday Bowl. In his last game as a Trojan, Byrd recovered one fumble and recorded four total tackles, two of which were solos.
According to NFL Mock Draft Database's last mock, Byrd is projected to be an undrafted free agent, with his overall rank lasted at 437th. That can change from now until April with a promising NFL combine and pro day.
Wherever he lands, we wish Byrd the best in his next journey. Once a Trojan, always a Trojan.
