Tennessee Vols player ranked as one of the top 25 players in the NCAA transfer portal

A Tennessee Vols defender that recently entered the NCAA transfer portal is ranked as one of the top 25 transfer players that's currently available. 

On Monday morning, On3 ranked the top 25 players that are still available in the portal and Vols defensive lineman Tyler Baron, who entered the portal last week, came in at No. 16 in their rankings. 

Baron is a former four-star recruit from Knoxville who signed with Tennessee during the 2020 recruiting cycle. He was rated as the No. 4 player in the state of Tennessee when he signed with the Vols. 

Baron had a productive career for the Volunteers, totaling 102 tackles, 13.5 sacks, and a touchdown during his four seasons at Tennessee. 

The former Knoxville Catholic standout will have one season of eligibility remaining.
