HOUSTON - Morehouse College is negotiating with Hue Jackson to become the Maroon Tigers head football coach, according to a source.

Jackson will take over as head coach after Gerard Wilcher was fired following a 1-9 season.

Grambling released Jackson from his contract with Grambling State after two seasons, finishing with an 8-14 record.

Grambling lost to Southern, 27-22, in the 50th Annual Bayou Classic. The fans and alumni called for a change, and then vice president for intercollegiate athletics, Dr. Trayveon Scott, fired Jackson on Nov. 28, 2023.
