Richard Sherman Boldly Tells Skip Bayless Why Christian McCaffrey Could Be MVP
USA TODAY Sports

On Sunday, San Francisco 49ers running back and former Stanford star Christian McCaffrey was the talk of the NFL world.

His four-touchdown showing against the Arizona Cardinals caught the attention of notable names such as LeBron James , and has also fellow former Stanford Cardinal Richard Sherman calling for him to be the MVP. On a recent episode of Undisputed, Sherman made the case for his fellow alumni of Stanford to Skip Bayless and Keyshawn Johnson, explaining that while it is very much a quarterback award, McCaffrey is truly more valuable to the success of the 49ers than any other player.

Through four games, McCaffrey has rushed for 459 yards on 5.7 yards per carry with six rushing touchdowns, while adding 18 catches for 141 yards and a score. The 49ers are also 4-0, and are viewed by many as the best team in the NFL.

If he was to win it, he'd be the first running back since Adrian Peterson (2012) to do so, and just the fourth running back since 2000 to do so.
