Report: Georgia Bulldogs expected to make a run for Arizona State transfer QB

Jaden Rashada is officially entering the transfer portal, as he announced via social media on Thursday.

He'll have several suitors as a former top-50 recruit in the 2023 class, but Georgia is among the schools expected to make a very strong run at him, according to multiple reports.

Rashada has been hindered by injury early on in his career, but did impress as a true freshman last season. He saw action in three games and threw for 485 yards with 4 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.

If he is to head to Georgia, he will have the opportunity to sit behind Carson Beck, who is largely deemed to be one of the best quarterbacks and overall prospects in the nation, for a year before potentially getting a crack at the starting job for the perhaps most prestigious college football program in the nation.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart has made it clear on multiple occasions that he wants to have four scholarship quarterbacks on the roster with indications the Bulldogs could seek that fourth addition via the transfer portal.

It will be interesting to watch where the 6-foot-4, 185-pounder ultimately lands in the coming days and if that destination is indeed in Athens.
