Since January of 2021, the Wolverines all-time rushing leader has been coaching Michigan’s elite running backs. Since Michigan football legend Mike Hart joined Jim Harbaugh’s staff back in early 2021, the Wolverines are undefeated against Penn State and Ohio State, boast a 25-3 overall record (19-1 Big Ten), have won two Big Ten titles, appeared in the College Football Playoff twice, and more. Just a few days before Hart was hired by the University of Michigan, Brian Hartline of the Ohio State Buckeyes was promoted to passing game coordinator in Columbus — since his promotion, his squad is 0-2 against the Wolverines.

Earlier this week, Brian Hartline went on the Bussin’ with the Boys Podcast, and appeared to openly disrespect Michigan legend Mike Hart by first seemingly pretending to not know who he was, and following it up by saying that he would beat Mike Hart in a fist fight.

Brain Hartline of Ohio State claims he could beat Michigan legend Mike Hart in a fight

When asked by former Michigan offensive tackle Taylor Lewan who would win in a fist fight between him and Michigan legend Mike Hart, Brian Hartline was quick to declare himself the victor.

“Me,” Hartline stated when asked who would win in a fight between him and Michigan’s running backs coach. “Any offensive coordinator in the country, they’re all losing [in a fight].”

Since Hart was hired, his program is 2-0 against Ohio State — largely due tot he standout performances of his running backs during both massive blowout victories. On the other hand, since becoming Ohio State’s passing game coordinator, the Buckeyes are yet to score more than 27 points on the Michigan Wolverines. Following the podcast, Mike Hart took to Twitter with a simple message: “A wolf doesn’t concern himself with the opinions of sheep.”
