New 2025 WR commit Jayvan Boggs heaps praise on Ohio State

The Ohio State Buckeyes have found a sweet spot on the recruiting trail with wide receiver, and frankly, it makes a ton of sense.

Just look at the wideouts OSU has produced over the past few seasons. Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Terry McLaurin and Parris Campbell are all representing the Buckeyes in the NFL right now. On the current roster, Marvin Harrison Jr. will be a Top 10 selection or better in 2024 and Emeka Egbuka certainly looks like an NFL wideout.

That's why 2025 wideout recruit Jayvan Boggs just committed to Ohio State over the likes of Florida, Ole Miss and Penn State.

"I love everything about Ohio State," Boggs told 247Sports. "It's WRU. No better place to be at."

Still a junior in high school, Boggs is ranked as a 3-star recruit out of Cocoa, Fla. He's the No. 36 wideout in his class, according to 247Sports. but there's still plenty of time for him to rise up those rankings.

Boggs caught 41 passes for 722 yards and six touchdowns for Cocoa High School as a sophomore on a state title team. Through six games in his junior season, he's already caught 48 passes for 779 yards and 14 touchdowns.

He undoubtedly has star potential as a recruit, which led one scout to say he has a "multiyear Power Five starter upside with a higher floor."
