NCAAF betting: Top 5 best bets for Week 7

Last week was not as strong, but we are still in the black for the season. I knew I was getting greedy trying to pick off Bowling Green, who got shut out by Miami of Ohio (MACtion, right?). This week we have lots of big games with Oregon visiting Washington and USC visiting Notre Dame. I think that USC is in a great spot but I try not to double dip in this space and I just finished a preview of that one.

Last week: 2-3
Season to Date: 16-13-1

NCAAF Week 7 Best Bets

Wyoming @ Air Force
Cowboys +11.5

These teams play each other often in the Mountain West. Both are off to strong starts with a combined record of 10-1. Wyoming is a really strong defensive outfit and their familiarity with the Air Force optin attack is going to be enough for them to keep this one close. They beat the Falcons last season and have covered in eight of the last 10.

Love this line at the current price too. You basically have 13 or 14 points to work with.

Missouri @ Kentucky
7:30 p.m. ET

Wildcats -2.5

The Wildcats got thumped last week. There is no other way to describe their loss to Georgia. However, let's not forget who they were playing or where. I still believe this is a quality program even if they are not a threat to a team like UGA this season. They will toughen up and respond well against Mizzou.

A super small line to take advantage of here. Last week's loss helps us out.

NC State @ Duke
8 p.m. ET
Blue Devils -3

Duke QB Riley Leonard is on the injury report and obviously, that is a big factor for this one. However, NC State has questions at QB too after they moved away from the experienced Brennan Armstrong. Duke has shown they can play defense and as long as they are patient they should win at home.

The number is critical here. Even with Leonard, I don't think the Blue Devils are going to win by much. The line says they don't have to.

Miami @ North Carolina
7:30 p.m. ET

Tar Heels -3

North Carolina has been a pleasant surprise. We knew the offense would be good, but they have been solid on D and thus perfect so far. I like this spot because the market is looking at Miami more than it should after that tragic loss last week. North Carolina is at home with the better quarterback. That is more than enough to punch it on this short line.

This short line was a big surprise to me. Miami is getting a ton of respect they have not earned.

Louisville @ Pitt
8:30 p.m. ET
Cardinals -7.5

The Cardinals are still undefeated and hit the road off a big home win over Notre Dame. I like the situation because sometimes being at home lets you get a little too comfortable after a game like that. Louisville has been strong on both sides of the ball this season and I trust they can close the game strong and win by multiple scores. They have a lot to play for while Pitt has struggled all season long. They have just one win.

Taking -7.5 favorites is not the wisest move, but I think the Cardinals can win this one by 10 points, which gives enough cushion. A perfect teaser spot.
