Veteran wide receiver Montorie Foster says new Michigan State football quarterback Aidan Chiles has the “it” factor.

Spring ball is officially underway for Michigan State football, and Wednesday we got to see our first look at the team and many of the newcomers to East Lansing. Spring practice brings a lot of excitement to the program, especially in a new era of MSU football.

One veteran wide receiver couldn’t contain his excitement, specifically about getting to work with Aidan Chiles.

Montorie Foster believes in Chiles

Many Spartans spoke with the media Wednesday after their first practice, and veteran wide receiver Montorie Foster Jr. was one of them. Foster is entering his senior season at MSU and has just begun working with his new quarterback. I think it’s safe to say that he’s already impressed.

“I love Aidan. We are always getting extra work in. He is a hard worker. That is something that really stood out to me.”

Foster continued by saying Aidan has the “it” factor.

Even guys on defense are already taking notice of Chiles and how hard he and the rest of the offense are working. Defensive lineman Maverick Hansen shared that Aidan is putting in extra hours with the rest of the offense.

Foster discusses the new offense

Every wide receiver dreams of making big plays down the field, but that’s something that’s been lacking in East Lansing in recent years. However, Foster sees that going a little differently this year. Montorie touched on the new offense brought in by Jonathan Smith and what makes him excited about it.

Foster seems ready for a breakout season this fall, and I think it’s going to happen for him. Last year he finished with a solid 43 receptions for 576 yards and three touchdowns, but I think he’ll take it to the next level this season. With Chiles at quarterback, the sky is the limit for Foster as he will finally have a consistent passer who is able to make the big throws on a regular basis.

So don’t be surprised to see Foster make a name for himself across the country this year.
