It's Official, Colston Loveland Is A Stud

A new head coach, at least five new assistant coaches, more than 20 contributors leaving the program including 18 who were invited to the NFL Combine — to say Michigan will be a different team in 2024 is a massive understatement. 

Luckily for new head coach Sherrone Moore and whoever the new starting quarterback is, junior tight end Colston Loveland will be on the team and on the field often. The 6-5, 245-pounder, who doesn't even turn 20 years old until April, should be the new quarterback's best friend. Solid tight ends can often be safety blankets for quarterbacks and Loveland should be all of that and more. In fact, he's officially the best returning tight end in the entire country.

Last year as a true sophomore, Loveland hauled in 45 catches for 649 yards and four touchdowns. The 649 yards makes Loveland the most productive returning tight end in the nation for 2024 and has him atop Pro Football Focus' returning tight ends board.
