Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

He had a good career at the University of Alabama, but now he is in his NFL Draft process.

Jordan Battle, a South Florida native, was a safety for the Crimson Tide from 2019 to 2022. He earned first-team All-SEC honors from the league’s coaches in 2022 and a couple of All-American nods. Battle recorded 71 tackles, two pass breakups, and an interception last season. He consistently produced in Alabama’s secondary and took his skills to the NFL Scouting Combine.

The 6-foot-1, 209-pounder ran 4.55 seconds in the 40-yard dash, showing pro teams that he has the speed. According to Jordan Schultz, an NFL Insider for the Score, Battle is visiting the Buffalo Bills. Per Schultz, a veteran NFL scout said Battle is ‘really good in coverage. Ball-hawking safety who tracks the ball naturally. Pretty willing tackler as well. We like him a lot.”

Battle served the Tide well in run support on defense, but he posted 10 breakups and six career interceptions.

He had a team-tying three picks in 2021, including two returned for touchdowns. We will see which team makes a move for him.
