Doneiko Slaughter "Anticipates Being Ready" vs. Texas A&M

Tennessee corner Doneiko Slaughter could see his first action since week two this weekend, per head coach Josh Heupel. The impact defender went down against Austin Peay and has missed time since, but the Vols should get him back against a formidable Texas A&M Aggies' passing offense.

It's important for Doneiko [Slaughter]; it's important for some other guys inevitably in this game and certainly in this league - it's a physical battle every time you're out on the football field. Slaughter logged 26 tackles and an interception in 2022, one of the bright spots on defense. He was playing sound football in the first few quarters of the season before going down, and if they can get him into rhythm on Saturday, that should bolster their chances even further.
