Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit get top billing for ESPN's College Bowl Game coverage

Nicknamed "The Granddaddy of Them All", the Rose Bowl is College Football's ultimate attraction. It's fitting, then, that Pasadena is once again the site of one of the College Football Playoff's semifinal games.

No. 1 Michigan will match up with No. 4 Alabama in the Rose Bowl, and ESPN is putting its top team on the call.

Per a press release, the team of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will call the Rose Bowl Game between the Wolverines and Crimson Tide.

Fowler and Herbstreit are a class combination, having called a CFP semifinal together each of the 10 years the CFP has been around. The legendary Holly Rowe will be the sideline reporter on the broadcast as well as ESPN veteran Laura Rutledge, who has been the host of "SEC Nation" since 2017 and the main host of 'NFL Live" since 2020.

The Fowler-Herbstreit combination, as well as a sideline crew of Holly Rowe and Molly McGrath, are expected to broadcast the CFP National Championship Game.

In the other semifinal game, Sean McDonough and Greg McElroy will call the Sugar Bowl matchup between No. 2 Washington vs. No. 3 Texas. Molly McGrath and Katie George will join them on the sideline.

Other notable booths include Bob Wischusen and Robert Griffin III calling the Fiesta Bowl between No. 23 Liberty and No. 8 Oregon and Joe Tessitore and Jesse Palmer calling the Orange Bowl between No. 6 Georgia and No. 5 Florida State
