There seems to be a formula for becoming an Ohio State quarterback: shine in high school and go to the Elite 11 Finals.

Justin Fields and C.J. Stroud both won the Elite 11 MVP in 2017 and 2019, respectively, while Kyle McCord and Devin Brown competed as finalists in the 2020 and 2021 competitions.

Now, it's class of 2024 four-star Ohio State quarterback commit Air Noland is competing in this year's Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles, something he said "meant a lot to him" since it's a competition of the next signal-callers "that will get drafted to the NFL."

Noland said he has one goal in mind.

“The main focus is to win MVP and show why I think I’m the best quarterback in the country,” Noland told On3's Chad Simmons. “Not only proving it to myself but to every other quarterback out there, every news reporter out there and everyone. I’m coming out there with full head of steam focused on winning the MVP and being the best version of myself. If I can do that, then it will be without question that I’m the best quarterback in the country.”

Noland is coming off a sensational junior year at Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, GA., as his 55 touchdowns fell one shy of tying the Peach State's single-season record. That was contrasted to only four interceptions in 2022.

The No. 5 quarterback in the class of 2024, Noland's 8,024 career passing yards and 104 touchdowns are 29th and ninth in Georgia high school history.
