Arizona State’s Head Coach Has A Very Honest Reaction About His Star Player Entering The Transfer Portal
Patrick Breen/The Republic / USA TODAY NETWORK

Arizona State will enter a new era in college football this fall when it joins the Big 12 conference. The Sun Devils will do it without one of their best players, who entered the transfer portal on Thursday.

Arizona State Is About To Lose A Quarterback

Quarterback Jaden Rashada plans to enter the transfer portal. According to On3.com, Rashada started three games last season, throwing for 485 yards and three touchdowns. He has a lot of talent and was going to be one of the bright young quarterbacks in the sport.

Kenny Dillingham Shows Nothing But Love

Typically, the news of a star player entering the transfer portal is met with disappointment. However, Arizona State’s head coach, Kenny Dillingham, took a different approach. On Thursday, he took to his social media account to share his positive outlook, stating, “Someone will be gaining an elite talent and a great person! I’ll always be rooting for you!”

What a classy move by  Dillingham to show nothing but love for his quarterback. If you’re a young athlete and want to play college football, Dillingham seems like a great coach for whom to play. He will have your back when you’re on his team or not. Some other coaches will only support you if you’re playing for them.

Deion Sanders Made News On Thursday

Colorado’s head coach, Deion Sanders, made news on Thursday when he talked about all the players who entered the portal on his team this week and stated, “What are we losing? Potential? Where? You haven’t been watching practice, have you?

Sanders took a different approach than Dillingham, criticizing his former players. I’m not saying it’s the wrong way to do things, but it is different. I like Sanders and think he will be a great coach, but Sanders’s comments could turn off players considering coming to Colorado.
