The 2024 recruiting class for Penn State football has been stacking recruiting additions all summer long. Specifically, as of late it has been defensive line coach Deion Barnes who has been on a hot streak after landing defensive linemen Liam Andrews and T.A Cunningham this past week. However, an area that the Nittany Lions could add more depth to in the 2024 class is at wide receiver led by Marques Hagans. As 2024 WR Hardley Gilmore recently released his top three schools.

2024 4-Star Wide Receiver includes Penn State in his final 3 schools

On Monday afternoon, the 2024 uncommitted wide receiver prospect Hardley Gilmore dropped a list of his final three schools which included Kentucky, UCF, and Penn State. He is a four-star recruit according to 247sports and currently holds one crystal ball with a confidence level of 6 to Kentucky placed by Kentucky Insider Josh Edwards.

In his tweet, he mentions August 25th which appears to be his upcoming commitment date. The Nittany Lions led by wide receiver coach Marques Hagans will need to make a final push to see if they can seal the deal with Hardley Gilmore.

He was on campus at Penn State back on June 23rd the same day the Nittany Lions gave him an official scholarship offer. This leads me to believe that the Penn State coaching staff was on Gilmore late, but considering that fact the Nittany Lions still made his top 3.

Penn State football has landed several talented 2024 wide receiver commits

Marques Hagans was brought in to not only add value on the field but also off the field in terms of landing talented recruits. He already has made a great impression early in his Penn State tenure. So far, Hagans has helped secure three-star WR Peter Gonzalez from Pittsburgh, PA, four-star WR Tyseer Denmark from Philadephia, PA, and four-star WR Josiah Brown from Hicksville, NY.

If he can push the Nittany Lions over the edge for a prospect like Hardley Gilmore, the 2024 recruiting class will continue to climb the national ranking.
